Very Disturbing

We celebrated my aunt’s bday yesterday even though her bday is four days away..i don’t know why it’s what she wanted. Anyway we had the usual spaghetti, salad and chicken. Tita Rose and I even went with John to the jeepney terminal where we got drenched in the rain after, what the heck!

Anyway, the whole thing seemed normal enough until we got back to the house, closed the store and found this drunk guy standing outside, looking at our house. My grandfather’s helper asked him what he was doing, and the guy practically said that he was STALKING A GIRL who lives there. Wow! He just admitted to stalking, the idiot! Anyway my aunt threatened to call the cops and after she did, we checked outside and he was gone. She was concerned that he could be like a member of those gangs who investigate the comings and goings of people in the house and later on rob them, or something like that. Funny thing about local law enforcement people, my aunt gave our address so that they can come and check if the guy is still there, you know scare him away and stuff but they NEVER CAME! Yes, they didn’t. We waited and waited and nada, no response. We called the EMERGENCY NUMBER, too. I can’t decide which is more disturbing, the fact that we might have a stalker, or that the police didn’t come.

Yeah, kudos to our local police! Great job people, keep it up!

Life’s tough isn’t it? Well, it certainly has its moments….I just got a message this morning that the job that I desperately wanted and was promised to get is to be given to someone else because administration wants somebody else. I feel sad but I’m not mad about it or anything. It’s just depressing when life throws you a curveball and you don’t know how to catch it. I am at the moment exploring other options but it’s hard when you feel tied down. Having somebody else to consider when making important life-changing decisions is more than difficult. It’s frustrating in the least. Oh well. I’ll figure it out. If I am speaking cryptically well you’ll have to know me to understand.

I saw the season finale of The Amazing Race and was glad that Uchenna and Joyce won! My family and I were screaming near the end of the episode. It was hilarious! Hehehe That was exciting-biting-your-nails stuff there! I hope you all saw it.

And to my most important announcement: I have gained weight. Sigh. Been making plans to lose it, but planning and actually doing are 2 very different things unfortunately. Hehehe it’s weird with me though coz if I don’t take losing weight too seriously I end up losing it anyway. If I obsess about it, I gain even more. It’s funny. It’s hard to lose weight when you really have no motivation. The love of my life and I were talking about the weight that we gained and we just laugh. How the hell am I supposed to lose weight when he says, “You know honey, it doesn’t matter to me that you’ve gained weight. I still love you.” And then gives you a big hug. Yeah it’s sweet. And then the next minute he torments me about my thighs! Arrgh that man!

I watched the Amazing Race last night and I was sad when the old couple had to go. I mean they’re really nice and I was hoping that they’d win the race, them or Joyce and Uychenna. Oh well. My only wish though is that when I get that old, my husband and I will still be as sweet as they are. :) Was Rob really that mean on Survivor? I don’t mean to be clueless but I don’t watch that show. It’s just that he’s getting more and more despicable by the minute on the Amazing Race and if he wins I swear I’ll bang my head against the wall and curse fate (or the producers of the show) for getting him on it in the first place. I mean where’s the fun in that? What I’ve always liked about the Amazing Race is you have normal people on it and you get to know them little by little as the show progresses but with Rob and Amber, they are celebrities, what the heck are they doing there? Although they did provide spice to the show…. And what’s up with Kelly and Ron? Remember that argument they had about Ron not wanting to commit? He got out of the army by being a POW? Girl, what are you, a MORON?! He almost died but at least he got out right? Sheesh!

John, Pia, Vix and I are going out to watch Kingdom of Heaven later. I hope it’s a good movie. I have not read a review so I don’t really know. Wait, I do not read movie reviews. Coz when I do I get affected by it and they’re always so negative and bitchy. It always seems like when I read a review first and watch the movie later it ruins it for me coz all I can think of while I’m watching the movie is all the bad points that the critic pointed and I don’t enjoy the movie at all. (Did you get that? :) ) So I stopped reading them, stopped caring what they thought and now I’m happier for it. I just check what’s on the top ten in the States and make a decision whether to watch that movie or not. It’s easier that way.
