White heads and the Philippines

It’s so weird not having blogged for almost two weeks. Hmm..what has happened to me lately? I got my contacts last week so you can pretty much guess how glad I am. I’ve been living with the onslaught of white heads ever since I began wearing glasses again and have been frustrated by it. My face has been so unnaturally oily, you can cook burgers on it. My eyes are now the color of honey. I’ve had hazel, chestnut brown and just plain brown before. This is basically the last brown shade I have not tried yet. So my eyes will be honey for a year. After that, who knows? I’m pretty sure I’ll stick with brown though. I’m not so adventurous as to go with blue, hmm green maybe when I get enough guts.

John and I went to Lopue’s East yesterday and rummaged through their Used Books Section. I bought Stephen King’s The Dark Half and Ann Rule’s All She Ever Wanted. Yeah I’m a little morbid. I’ll post a review of The Dark Half (which I’m currently reading) when I’m done with it.

The weather has been as unstable as our country lately. It can be hot as hell in the morning and raining hard in the afternoon. *Sigh* Speaking of the state of the nation, let me say that I am against GMA resigning. Why? Because the country needs as much stability as possible at the moment. I mean, sure we’re famous, we’re on CNN but look at the peso devaluation and the prices rising. Not good for the economy at all. Can’t we let her finish her term? Think about it, who has the ability to rule this country at the moment if not the president? I don’t see anybody there capable of doing so. This mutiny just shows how illiterate Filipinos are in my opinion. What happened to due process, respect for the Constitution? You can’t just ask a President to resign. This isn’t just any company, this is an entire country we’re talking about here. We are in an economic crisis and an uprising is the last thing that we need. What happened to doing things for the greater good? And if you tell me that there is a politician out there who did not cheat in the elections no matter how small and will not steal when in power, then I’ll go and kiss the ground he walks on. In the mean time, stop this nonsense, get out of my way, coz I have to go to work and feed myself. In other words, shut your traps and move on.

Updates On My Life

Today is Saturday and I am looking forward to the weekend if only to sleep in. :)

Wanna see War of The Worlds coz it seems like the only good movie out although a lot of crap had been said about its ending ( and it’s lead). I think the whole Tom and Katie thing is fake but maybe that’s just me and I think Tom Cruise is a lunatic, then again maybe it’s just me and the rest of the world. My major was Psychology in college and I’m not even going to comment on his assertion that there is no such thing as a chemical imbalance.

Tomorrow I’m having lunch with the girls and it’s gonna be fun keeping up to date with each other’s lives. It’s a nice tradition to make.

Also, I went to the doctor last Thursday and hope to get my contacts on Monday at the earliest so I’m really excited about that…At last no more glasses!

What else? I don’t know how I’m doing on the whole diet thing so I’ll let you know if i have (finally!) lost 10 pounds, which is my goal.

Scared about getting into Law School but don’t wanna obssess too much as I have 3 more months to worry about it.

Plan to repaint my room in 3 weeks so that’s something to do. And buy more closets and stuff.

What else? John got sick yesterday. I worry about him coz he has a lot on his plate right now. His body getting sick is a sign of fatigue and exhaustion so I told him to rest this weekend.

Slowly rebuilding my relationship with my parents and I’m glad about that. I like the fact that they call me.

Have a lot of plans and have them listed down somewhere. I tend to list everything down.

Oh, the jeep I was riding on yesterday collided with another jeep. I hit my head. Thank God nothing was broken. I made it to the office okay. Worried my mom, aunts, grandma and grandpa when I told them about it. I have a big family. I like it actually. It so chaotic and fun! hehehe I live with my grandparents, 3 aunts and 3 litle cousins. Plus the house help. I know a lot of people my age would rather get their own place to stay away from their family but I like living with mine even though it’s not really nuclear.

That’s about it!
